We've had a bit of snow this week. Not much honestly, but enough to make Maryland drivers lose their sensibility when it comes to driving. Good thing we spend most of our time at home. The back yard looks serene as it comes down, with my little chicken coop over to the left. So grey here when it snows...I miss the sparkly bright snows of Colorado.
My son practicing his violin. He's been playing for five years now...sometimes that's hard to believe. He does so well. :)
And for a stitching update. It's slow going but it's going. I only get maybe an hour a day to work on it. This is Mirabilia's Tree of Hope. :)
Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

I hope he gets on well with his violin as he gets older how wonderful
ReplyDeleteHave a fantabulosa week ;-)
Thanks! He has his moments, but I think he likes it. :)
DeleteLove the stitching!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteLovely snow shot! It is great that your son can play the violin. You are doing a wonderful job with the stitching. It is beautiful. Thanks for hosting.

Thank you! I'm still so new to stitching. :)
DeleteIt seems that both you and your son have a great deal of rewarding patience :)
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely rewarding. :)
DeleteViolin is such a difficult instrument, it's great that he started early. Beautiful landscape of your backyard. When I was in MD, if they even smelled snow they'd close everything! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteThey do close everything! In Colorado you have to toughen up and just keep going because there is snow on the ground all winter. Here it's just crazy, lol. Everyone freaks at the smallest bit of snow, which is strange because it does snow here! I guess just not as much as other places. :)
DeleteReally like the two trees in your first picture. I can't say anything. Growing up in PA I'm used to driving in the snow...that was until my hubby decided to get a rear wheel driving car. Sigh. Good luck with whatever snow you do (or don't) get.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris! My neighbor calls those trees the boob trees, lol!! Rear wheel driving in snow is fun. Donuts! ;)
DeleteThe stitching is gorgeous! I wish I was crafty like that!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily! The stitching itself isn't hard, it's the counting that is. :)
DeleteMy son gave up on his violin after only 1 year! I hope yours will persevere! Love the stitching.
ReplyDeleteAww, that's too bad. My son has been told he has no choice but to continue. Being that music ed is my career, both my children have to play something, lol
Deletewow! Violin! :) it's one of my favorite hobby, i wish your son can do it too..;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Wordless Wednesday! My entry is here and here.
Awesome! Going to go check out your entries! Happy Wednesday! :)
DeleteHappy Wordless Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThanks! You too! :)
DeleteSame thing happens in Seattle when it snows! Best just to stay home, because even if you know how to drive in it, no one else seems to.
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is beautiful!
I love the violin. I took it up in college — such a beautiful instrument. Except when I play. ;)
Thanks Lauren! I'm sure it's not so bad. Too bad I'm not closer, I'd offer to give you lessons. :)
DeleteBy not too bad, I mean the violin playing, not the driving, lol
